Battle of the Badges

A high-energy charity hockey game where local firefighters and police officers face off on the ice.

Joined by Vancouver Canucks alumni and FINN, the event brings some true Canucks excitement to Powell River.

It’s a fun-filled day for a great cause, with all proceeds supporting important local initiatives. From the roar of the crowd to the spirit of friendly rivalry, it’s a celebration of connection, teamwork, and giving back.

Bright Lights at Putters

Every December, firefighters transform the mini golf course into a magical winter walk-through filled with thousands of twinkling lights and holiday displays.

This festive event brings families and friends together to celebrate the season with hot chocolate, music, and plenty of holiday cheer. Kids can visit the fire truck, meet firefighters, and take in the glow of the lights, all while supporting our charity.

Fill the Boot Drive for MD

Every September, our firefighters take to the streets — off duty and in uniform — for the Fill the Boot campaign in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada, a cause we’ve proudly supported since 1961.

You’ll find us outside local supermarkets collecting donations in our boots for this life-changing cause.

It’s a simple gesture with a big impact — and a tradition we’re proud to carry on year after year.
